How To: Sew On Cording
Sewing on Cording
When I’m teaching in person classes, it’s sometimes tricky to see the invisible thread. In the video, I break down how to sew on cording step by step and show you using a brightly colored red thread to represent the invisible thread.
We’ll also work on joining cording invisibly, which you can preview in the tutorial above, or access a little public video on Youtube below.
My sister just finished stitching her first project and she’s sending it to me to complete during the class. We picked it out together at Old World Designs in Menlo Park, which is a very cute shop with a quite modern collection.
Readers: You can get a ticket to join this event here. You’ll get a copy of the recording after the event.
Members: You can find the Zoom link to join at the bottom, under “zoom link.” You can also find this on the Finish Along page and in the member chat on the Substack app.

The Shop
I very quietly launched a little finishing supplies shop which you can find here. Not going to be huge by any means, but I’d like to focus on stuff that helps you learn - like a college bookstore. Let me know if you have any product ideas or things you’d like to see.
Hope everyone has a great week. Remember to spread some kindness, trust your own creativity, and go make some unique magic in anything you do!
