How to finish a Self-Welt Hanging Sign
Share

I just love the self-welt hanging sign, particularly for nursery and children’s items. It lends an added note of softness and charm to the final product. This finish is not too tricky if you have mastery over basic machine sewing skills and simple shape ornament finishing skills. The trickiest part is the fabric-covered cord, which I cover in detail. If you do not have access to a sewing machine, hand sewing the lip cord and fabric covered cord is always an option.
